For John Carter I was in the costume jewellery department. The chief jewellery maker was Naomi Critcher. My main part in the department was to create items for the Tharks. There were specific pieces to make for the main Tharks and also a selection for the background characters. Everything was scanned in and digitally dressed and animated on each of the characters. Other items were for the human characters wether they were for the wedding scene, soldiers or for crowd people. This was a great film to be part of, a lot of artistic freedom especially with the Thark pieces.
